Stream Instructors
Summary of Responsibilities
Reporting to a Dean or Director, the Instructor is responsible to apply their expertise to develop and deliver courses/programs so that students learn and reach their academic goals. The Instructor actively participates in departmental meetings and activities, in student recruitment for their courses/program, and in representing the heart of The Lord supporting of the general development of students.
Instructional Climate
In keeping with our climate of exhaltation, exhortation and encouragement, we ask our instructors and special guest to minister with a heart of love and follow these guidlines during presentation.
? Topics and items focussed upon are to be within the ministry mandates of the WFM Missions Base. This will insure a focus on the majors and a diminishing emphasis on minor issues of insignificant impact in the students lives.
? The purpose is to be excelling the students toward their destiny with our Lord Jesus Christ.
? By utilizing the Lamad method of instruction we move toward impartion as opposed to simple information aquistion.
? Under no circumstances will speakers disseminate negative or critical information toward churches, ministers or other ministries.
? All instructors will remain in a posture of accountability with disseminated information both with the students and within the leadership of the The FIELD Spiritual Equipping Center and the WFM Missions Base.
? We would ask that the opinions of the instructor be stated as opinion and the Word of the Lord shall speak and authenticate itself. In this manner, we allow the Holy Spirit to bring revelation as opposed to man's opinion.
Specific Duties
The general responsibilities of an Instructor include but are not limited to:
? Instructional assignments, using the Lamad teaching methods to impart rather than lecture
? Course/program and curriculum preparation including current course outlines
? Review and assessment of courses, programs and curricula
? Direct student contact to establish rapport and to aid in the transfer of knowledge and the development of critical thinking skills
? Development of instruments to evaluate student learning; marking such instruments; generally assessing student progress
? Development of teaching aids and instructional materials
? Student screening including conducting student interviews/assessments
? Orientation of students (as necessary by program/course/service requirements)
? Special assignments related to the specialty(ies) of the Instructor or to the efficient organization and operation of The FIELD
? Scheduled hours to be available for student assistance
? Attendance at and participation in The FIELD meetings
? Referring students to Dean or Director within The FIELD Spiritual Equipping Center to address specific student learning or personal issues
? Preparation of a portfolio for use in the formative review process
? Participation in various staff development sessions
? Serving as an ambassador for The FIELD Spiritual Equipping Center
? Other related duties as required
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities :
The Requirements of an instructor include:
- Spiritual / Academic qualifications in the functional area taught.
- Working experience, either in an academic field or applied experience related to the courses/programs taught
- A personal agreement with the Wind and Fire Ministry statement of Faith.
- A strong belief in high quality of work necessary to deliver programs and services.
- Well-developed computer skills including keyboarding, and a working knowledge of the Internet and e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
- Succesful completion of the "Communion with God" curriculum from Christian Leadership University.
- Understanding of the LAMAD method of instruction.
